Cynthia, I found one Dubas male from the Nebraska line to take a genealogy DNA test @ familytreedna.com and showed no link to my DNA. It would be good to get more tests from the Nebraska line just to be sure. Any male descendant would be able to test. So as long as there were no mix-ups at birth, or other infidelities anywhere upstream with the male that tested we have no link to the Michael I am trying to find. Thanks for the post.

I found that a Michael Dubas came from Austria
with brothers Andrew (my grandfather), John, and Joseph. Polish Roman Catholic. Andrew born 1851. Looking to find connections. Andrew and John descendants are in Nebraska, USA

My great-grandfather’s name was Michael Dubas. He came to the U.S. on a ship from Bremen Germany. The ship’s manifest and the immigration records say that he was Polish but his family was living in Austria. The records are available on the Ellis Island website. The spelling of the last name ‘Dubas’ was changed to ‘Dubuss’ for some reason. I am very interested in corresponding with you.
